Welcome to the U.S.S. Lantau!

Space. The Final Frontier. These are the collective stories of the crew of the USS Lantau. Her mission? To explore deep space. To seek out new life and new civilizations. To Boldly go where no one has gone before.

Hello and welcome to the USS Lantau!

On behalf of the crew, I want to welcome you to our website and I hope you enjoy checking out what we have to offer. If you are interested in being a member of our crew and write great mission posts in what we all hope are exciting missions, then all you need to do is fill out one of our application forms and the command staff will get back to you. We encourage all players, regardless of simming experience to our simulation, the command staff and the players already on board are all here to help and support each other.

Our simulation is built on four core values. Family, Teamwork, Quality and Friendship. We here on the Lantau feel that these are important to our simulation and important to what we do here, after all we are a family. We aren't here to play power games or make our characters Gods, we are here for the pure desire of writing amazing Star Trek stories. We all work together and support each other in the team, guiding those that need some extra help and celebrating the successes of the whole team, no matter how small. We believe in quality over quantity, quality stories and posts rather than competing for who has the most posts over a whole month and most of all, we show and give each of our members the respect that they deserve, and we ensure that we do that all with a smile on our face.

Our Story

With the simulation set in 2392, the USS Lantau is set two decades after the end of the Dominion War, peace between all sides was been maintained in the time since; and the Federation has undergone a massive rebuilding process and have emerged as the strongest leading presence in the alpha and beta quadrants. With the dust settled and peace restored, Starfleet has begun to shift their focus back to their original mission of exploration.

There is no knowing where we will go with our missions, that is all up to our wonderful players and what they write will lead us to whether our missions are a success or a failure. It is our job to make sure that the ideals of Starfleet in exploring new worlds, seeking our new life and new civilizations, and to boldly go where nobody has gone before is kept alive.

Starfleet has decided to expand into unknown territories, mainly the Delta Quadrant. After the return of the USS Voyager in the year 2377 from their seven year time in the Delta Quadrant, Starfleet has been working on a specialized fleet to further explore the Delta Quadrant.

» Lantau LOA/ELOA system and how it works

Posted on Sun Sep 10, 2017 @ 4:37am by Captain Evelynn Haught in General News

    Greetings everyone.

As some of you all know the Southern parts of the USA have been ravaged by hurricanes. Hurricane Harvey down in Texas, and now Hurricane Irma heading up the West coast of Florida and into the Southern States like Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee.

So with that in mind we do have an LOA/ELOA system. If you are in the predicted path of Hurricane Irma and feel like you need to take an LOA/ELOA please feel free to put in the request. Myself and the XO understand that situations and will not penalize you during this time but we do ask that if there is a way, to keep us informed.

Prayers and good thoughts to everyone who has been affected by these storms.

» Monthly Report from the Fleet

Posted on Sat Sep 9, 2017 @ 6:03am by Captain Evelynn Haught in General News

While reading through the Monthly report given out by the fleet I want to say that I was shocked when I got down to the Sim of the Month section. In the past we have been able to obtain the Bronze Sim of the month but last month we the USS Lantau were awarded the Silver Sim of the Month Award!!! I was overjoyed at seeing this and all my thanks goes out to you all. Each one of you have contributed to this Sim to achieve the the Silver Sim of the Month. I know each and everyone of you are excellent writers and maybe just maybe we can get that Gold Sim of the month.

Thank you all to your hard work and dedication to the Sim.

It is my sad duty to inform you that Lt. Korin Andrews our Chief Medical Officer has decided to leave the Sim. In the interim I have created an NPC Chief Medical Officer linked to me. If you are currently in JP with Korin Andrews please place the NPC doctor in the JP so that the post can be completed.

If you have questions please ask.
